Jahn Miller passed away on June 3, 2024 at the age of 73 from a heart attack. He was born on July 12, 1950 in Kew Gardens, New York.

Jahn worked as a Public Insurance Adjuster until the day he died and was a fierce advocate for his clients, who were victims of property loss. His entire career and life were about bringing fairness and justice to those in need. Jahn was a voice for those victimized by impersonal corporations. He was tenacious-a bulldog to insurance carriers, but a "guidedog" to the disenfranchised.

Jahn embodied the perfect mix of a hardened New York cabbie and a cool California hippie. He was a man of few words but had a charisma that made his presence cherished in every room. He traveled extensively throughout his life and was a licensed pilot. Jahn was a sports enthusiast, a fantasy football champion, and, most notably, an avid Yankees fan. In his younger years, he was a sportsman. Among his many pursuits, he played baseball and football in high school and enjoyed many seasons of skiing, including a season as ski patrol at Mammoth Ski Resort. In more recent years, he enjoyed going on long, albeit speedy, walks around the Berkeley and Emeryville marinas.

Jahn was a loving father and cared deeply about his daughter, Victoria. He was also a devoted partner to the love of his life, Sandra, for 15 years. Jahn had many friendships that endured through his entire life, a testament to the caring, loyal, funny, and reliable man he was. Jahn will be sorely missed by all the people who love him.

Jahn is survived by his daughter, Victoria Miller, his partner, Sandra Ezra, and his friends and family. May his memory be a blessing.
