Giving to Sinai Memorial Chapel Chevra Kadisha

Sinai Memorial Chapel was established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization giving us the privilege to serve the Jewish community in ways that are unique among other funeral homes. Tzedakah (righteous charitable giving) enables us to fulfill our mission to provide end-of-life services for the Jewish community regardless of a family’s financial means.

Join us in our effort to always be here for the Jewish community by becoming an annual member. Members vote at our annual meeting to elect the board of directors and enable us to provide funeral and burial services for Jews without financial means and for those who have lost an infant or child at no cost.

Membership:

By becoming a member of Sinai, you enable us to provide funeral and burial services for Jews without financial means and those who have lost an infant or child at no cost. Membership contributions also support Sinai’s funding of and partnerships with other Jewish organizations that provide a range of services to the community, including those that help families who are grieving.

Special Projects/Programs:

The Memory Garden is a sacred space at Eternal Home Cemetery where those who have experienced pregnancy loss and infertility can reflect and heal. This effort will includes outreach to the religious and medical community to educate them about these kinds of losses.

Our Mourner Care Program is a no-cost bereavement service available to all families. Through short-term counseling with one of our licensed professional counselors, families can begin to take steps toward healing.

The Diane Lynn Cashel Memorial Fund for Rabbinical Services provides honoraria to rabbis leading services for families unable to pay.

The K’vod Hamet Endowment Fund honors our commitment to offer no-cost funerals and burials to the next generation of Jewish families unable to afford them
