Our dear friend and colleague, David Baruch Habib, known to us as Dudu Haviv, z"l passed away on the afternoon of 14 Tevet 5785 (January 14, 2025) at home surrounded by family. He was a blessed member of our Sinai professional family for 20 years starting in 2005. Dudu was fluent in Hebrew, French and English as he was born in Israel, lived in Belgium, went to High School in California and returned to Israel to serve as a lone solider in the IDF. He worked with death every day and had a full appreciation for each life he touched throughout his career. He held an MBA from Notre Dame De Namur University and up until he passed away, he was the managing funeral director for Sinai on the Peninsula and in the South Bay. He also managed Eternal Home Cemetery in Colma.
All were welcome to join the Habib family for the funeral service, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 11am inside the North Chapel at Sinai Memorial, 1501 Divisadero Street at Geary in San Francisco. Rabbi Yitzchok Feldman from Congregation Emek Beracha and Rabbi Yossi Marcus from Chabad of the North Peninsula co-led the service. Pallbearers were a few friends and his Sinai Funeral Directing colleagues Josh Alpert, Jaguar Rude, Crae Horse, Kiet Van, Robert Perez and Ben Ruhs.
Dudu is survived by his parents Isaac and Simona, wife Shoshi, son Edo, brothers Roni, Nathan and uncountable number of friends and family members across the globe.
