We are saddened to announce the passing of long time Congregation Beth David member Sima Shore who died early this morning May 31, 2023.
Sima is survived by her daughters Talya Lutzker, Pam (Joe) Guzman and their children Ben and Mat, Shayna Lutzker and her children Brocha, Levy, and Rosa; her brother Jerome (Margie) Shore and their children Amy (Aaron) Platt and Stephen (Leah) Shore, her nephews David (Anne) Fishbaum and Robert (Cathy) Fishbaum and niece Ellen (Mike) Hughes, and their families. She is predeceased by her sister Dolores (late Moishe) Fishbaum and her brother Avron Shore.
Sima was a meaningful member of the Jewish community - always generous with her warmth, time, and energy. She cherished her role as a mikvah lady and active participant in Hadassah, Hillel at UCLA, the JCC, and her synagogue.
Sima was a dog lover and beloved religious school teacher for many years and leaves behind many dear friends and purple eggplants. Her mahjong groups will miss her at the table.
The funeral will be held at 10:30am on Sunday June 4, graveside in the Beth David Memorial Garden <https://beth-david.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=8c55661f2361daa5ac62cffb4&id=114fc72b9d&e=e1c8b2ef01>, located inside the Oak Hill Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave; San Jose 95125
Immediately following the burial, all are invited to join the family at the home of Jane and Len Jacobson; 20075 Chateau Dr, Saratoga 95070 from 1 pm to 4 pm. Shiva will begin there at 4:30 pm. Please reach out to Sandi Bretz if you would like to bring food or drinks.
