I lost my mother, born January 7, 1921 in Cologne, Germany,
to Alzheimers April 9, 2018 at 4:24 am. She was remarkably
strong, courageous, forward thinking, highly intelligent, a trail
blazer and Holocaust survivor of Auschwitz, Ravensbruk, three
death marches, settling in Palestine after the war to see her dream
of the creation of the state of Israel materialize.
She is with her beloved Fritz Kramer, brother Rudy, mother Ester and father
Leonhard Duering and Tante Lina now. I, her only daughter, Nomi Harper,
will miss her all the days of my life.
She leaves behind a legacy and blood line of grandsons: Gabriel P. Grantham born
1976, and Benjamin L. Harper born 1982; two great grandchildren: Sophie Mae
and Brent Grantham. She was a remarkable woman who accomplished many triumphant
accomplishments and will be missed by many who loved her.
