Kenneth Cohn passed away just a day after his 86th birthday on July 31, 2015. He was born and raised in Oakland, Ca. and attended school at Glendale and Oakland High. Ken was only nine years old when his father, Sam Cohn, passed away. He and his mother, Ruth Cohn made a home together filled with love, laughter and a will to prosper.
At an early age, Ken began working for Dorfman Pacific Hat Co. Over the course of more than 40 years, Ken worked his way from the bottom to the top at Dorfmans where he flourished as both a representative and a mentor to his younger associates; a relationship which he truly cherished. In return, he was loved and respected by all who knew him, his status often that of "family" as he traveled around the country, a ceaseless champion for the company he loved.
At the age of 26 he married Ann Rosenberg, who throughout the course of their 60 year marriage would forever be referred to as his "beautiful bride."
He is survived by both his wife Ann, and his two children, David and Stacy. Although Ken will be deeply missed, he leaves behind a lifetime filled with love, laughter, and joyful memories.
Services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 at The Home of Eternity Cemetery, 5000 Piedmont Ave, Oakland CA 94611. Reception to follow.
