Lorena "Rena" Levy Simons passed peacefully in her sleep on September 2, 2017 with Nathan "Nat" her husband of 66 years by her side at their home in San Ramon.
Rena was raised in San Antonio Texas. There, she met Nat on a blind date while he was stationed at Fort Sam Houston.
Rena was a loving wife, a powerful mother and an adoring grandmother. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her big brown eyes, her liberal political beliefs and her unwaivering love for family and friends.
She is survived by her devoted husband Nat, her three daughters Marti (Allen Williams) of Pleasanton, CA, Dorey (Stephen Wolf) of Orlando, FL, and Beth (Rebecca Gould) of Livingstone, NJ; her grandchildren Abigail, Victoria (Lee Letica) and Jonathan.
A small family ceremony was held upon her passing. A Celebration of Lorena is planned for her friends and family on October 13, 2017 from 2:00p to 4:00p at the Crow Canyon Country Club.
