Herman Morris Likerman, son to Janette and Abraham Likerman brother to Johanna Howe, husband to Joyce and then Margaret, and father to Charles, David and Kymberly, passed away peacefully at home on December 4. He was 93 years old.
A lifelong resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, he entered the restaurant business with the support of his family and, through diligence and good luck, went on to own Brand's Steak House for 20 years and Jax Steak House for 33 years. With remarkable aptitude for lengthy oration, he would tell you the administration of those restaurants, his membership with the Masonic Temple and his demonstrative gift in spelling aloud, were the things of which he was most ardently proud.
Herman was a man who lived according to his own conscience. May God, whom he spoke of so often, judge him justly for it.
